If you have read my story or followed my journey from the beginning, you will know that I have faced an ordeal beyond comprehension.
For those not in the know, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, but to remove it they had to take my eye as well! The surgeries to reconstruct ranged from the insignificant to the completely bonkers! Cutting my head open from ear to ear was a personal favourite!
I started to document my journey, and as you have already found this, then I assume you have found the rest, if not put the kettle on and sit back and enjoy a real story of facing cancer!
10 years ago to the day I woke up from the anaesthetic and my life was changed forever. How my life has changed, but wow I could never have imagined, or dare to dream that I would still be here 10 years later, but here I am still campaigning, still raising awareness, still reaching out to those that are going through the same thing that I have.
Not so long ago I received a DM on my Instagram account @dan_defiantly_disfigured from a social media powerhouse @itsharrietkelly who like me has a facial difference. She invited me to do a live interview on Instagram and the rest is history!
